Defeating the cycle of need in Central Louisville

Huge thanks to our many supporters at our member congregations, our partners at WoodMac and Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC, and all the other kind folks who helped ensure our neighbors will have warm coats this winter. Together we collected more than 400 coats and 200 accessories! More than half of those were distributed on October 23 in two hours, and the other items have gone to our Clothes Closet where they'll be distributed on Wednesdays. Thank you!!!

You’re invited!

Association of Community Ministries announces LG&E matching fund

The Association of Community Ministries (ACM) is launching a citywide initiative to raise financial assistance for Louisville’s most vulnerable community members, struggling to make ends meet this summer.

To help boost efforts, the LG&E and KU Foundation pledges to match up to $200,000 donated to ACM in July. Every dollar donated will be matched by the Foundation and allocated toward utility bill assistance.

For the first time, utility bill assistance administered by ACM is already depleted before summer’s end because the need is so great. This funding has previously been allocated for the full calendar year, but this year, the fund was depleted before June.

Those who would like to help can make a donation through louisvilleministries.org or the Association of Community Ministries Facebook page.

Community members in need of assistance should contact their local Community Ministries. Determine the ministry that serves your area here: https://cfn.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=ffdde7dd21cd4fcabcdf33e01f95e747
